I am an independent researcher in criminal justice and human rights with over 25 years' professional policing experience. Following postgraduate study in Ireland, I continue to explore questions of policing, governance and institutional reform through independent research.

Papers published on this website form part of a longer-term programme examining policing, governance, evidence, technology and human rights. A monograph drawing together these themes is currently in preparation. Individual chapters are being developed, revised and, where appropriate, released as Working Papers before inclusion in the completed volume.
